Wallstreet Blue Light Special

The Market is Down way Down... Should I pull all of my $ from the 401K.... NO, I'm bargain shopping.
Today I scaped together what little money I could find to buy a few shares of an S&P 500 ETF index fund. Specifically Rydex S&P 500(RPV). The S&P 500 is down 16% for the year. On average (except for this year) is has gone up 8 - 10% a year. Unless you think that our country will totally collapse it is going to go back up. I would not be suprised if the stock market continues to go down, even for a few months, but at this level the S&P 500 is "cheap".

Ok so I guess I should have waited on this one... If I had realized how bad the finacial sector was looking I would have waited for the S&P to drop even further, which it probably will.

I was quite appalled to see that Barbara Hobbs is being considered for Circuit Judge when her legal record is dismal, at best! As a former client, I posted this review of her and would like to share it with your readers:

no concern for her clients fate! Do NOT be fooled by her cheap prices and smile b/c you truly get what you pay for. Not only was she not attentive to my case, she passed up several opportunities to reach a plea. In one instance she showed up tardy to our meeting with the DA, without my file in hand! Instead she chose to improvise; She proceeded to make small talk with the DA about my case (pronouncing my name incorrectly the entire time) and her kids until the DA escorted us out of her office. Several other opportunities arose for us to settle out of court but she didn't take them. Finally, one month in advance, I informed her that I could not be in court on the necessary day and I asked her to change my court date well in advance, as proper procedure entails. Because she's a slacker, she showed up to court on the day of, instead of making a request in advance, and asked the judge to change the court date!! The judge, fed up with her antics, put a warrant out for my arrest! I was arrested for failure to appear at my home, in front of my family, because of Barbara's negligence!

What should have been quietly settled out of court spiraled into the worst experience of my life! Barbara visited me in jail and promised that she would get me out on the next business day but instead I languished in jail for 1 month! To add insult to injury, she never came to visit me again to explain what was going on and when I called her office, she didnt accept collect calls! Finally, a month later when I was escorted to court in chains, Barbara showed up with a BS plea bargain she'd accepted from the prosecutor on my behalf and handed me over to a public defender - I paid her my own money only so that she could have a public defender who'd never met me before stand before the judge and represent me after months of anguish! Unconcerned, she had scheduled another trail for that day and time and left me to whatever fate the prosecutor felt I deserved!!! The entire situation almost ruined my life and my education! I ended up having to get another attorney to rectify all of Barbara's wrongs and make a more reasonable deal with the prosecutor (who even agreed that Barbara had done a terrible job (mis)representing me). If you respect your freedom and want an attorney that will fight for you, Barbara Hobbs of Tallahassee is NOT the one!
